![]() ![]() I strongly feel the 3% should not be charged - especially for those who frequently visit the Casino and have demonstated their money is "in play". and we can thank those who abused the benefit. At the time, I said that type of abuse would make the Cruise lines reconsider this benefit. Making matters worse, some came on Cruise Critic to brag about it. I agree with you, that it's disappointing to charge for Chips, but the sad reality is many guests entirely abused the privilige, charging huge amounts on their account - only to exchange the chips back to cash, racking up loyalty points on their credit card. Given our gambling history it is their loss :) We used to do quite a bit of gambling on our cruises (and we cruise about 70 days a year) but these kind of policies usually convince us to avoid the casino. Think about it, they are charging you money so that you can contribute to the "Casino Fund." Compare this to places like Vegas where they will have no problem giving you money, free drinks, etc. We have always found it absurd, that X charges a fee to use your Seapass account in the casino.
